Materials required

Red fish, dried


Leeks and onions


Kimchi


Chili paste from Korea


Shellfish oil, clear soy sauce, salt, sugar, green chilli powder, and pepper powder to taste


Beans with chilli

The method

Cook the dried redfish for 30 minutes.


Redfish must be taken from the water and utilised dry.





Add shellfish oil, clear soy sauce, salt, sugar, green chilli powder, and a teaspoon of pepper powder to the Korean chilli paste and whisk to combine.




Allow three layers of kinji and onion to boil in the boiling water of the dried red fish. When the water is boiling, add the chopped onion and chile to the dish to make a delightful kimchi soup.
